You can use this transaction if you are going to cancel the liability insurance on a vehicle that you
own and will not be using on any roads or highways. Your vehicle record will immediately be
updated to indicate that the vehicle will not be used from the "beginning date" through the "ending
date" that you enter.
NOTE: The beginning date will be the date this statement is submitted on the Internet.
For the purposes of canceling the liability insurance on this vehicle this
statement must be submitted to the Office of Motor Vehicles prior to or within 10 days
following the termination date of the liability insurance policy. If not, this statement
can not be used as compliance for the cancellation of liability insurance.
In order to submit the Vehicle Statement of Non-Use, you will need the following
information that is printed on your vehicle registration:
- License Plate Number
- Registration Expiration Date
- Vehicle Identification Number
- Model Year
