NRII (National Registry II) – new standards for medical reporting of DOT medicals, effective June 23, 2025.
Louisiana will not meet this deadline. See requirements here.
What this means for you:
- Ask the medical provider for a printed copy – even if you obtain your DOT medical in another State.
- Obtain your DOT medical as usual.
- Submit the DOT medical to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles using this link.
- Continue to carry a physical copy on your person when operating a commercial motor vehicle.
CDL drivers will be notified when Louisiana is able to meet the requirements of NRII.
